Temuera Derek Morrison MNZM is a celebrated actor whose career spans theatre, television, and film in Aotearoa and internationally. He gained national recognition as Dr. Hone Ropata on Shortland Street and achieved iconic status for his role as Jake "The Muss" Heke in Once Were Warriors (1994) and its sequel What Becomes of the Broken Hearted? (1999).
Internationally, Morrison is best known for his work in the Star Wars franchise, portraying Jango Fett, Boba Fett, and the clone troopers across films, series, and video games, bringing a distinctly Māori presence and wairua to his performances. His film and TV credits also include Disney’s Moana (voice of Chief Tui), the DC Universe films Aquaman and The Flash, and the series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
A Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to drama, Morrison has been recognised for his versatility, charisma, and enduring contribution to Māori storytelling on screen.
